incubation center in 2016. The mentors of this course bring in the best of
entrepreneurs & industrialists for inspiration. SIBM Pune also invites
startups for consultancy projects from its students. The flip side of the
pristine campus is the distance from the city. There are regular bus services 5
times in a day to the SB Road campus but, the distance does get to you in a bad
way. City conveniences and leisure activities aren't good enough nearby.
Leaving that aside, this college does present a serious value addition to my
academic career.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a
master's degree in business administration (management). The MBA degree
originated in the United States in the early 20th century when the country
industrialized and companies sought scientific approaches to management. The
core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting,
finance, marketing, human resources, and operations in a manner most relevant
to management analysis and strategy. Most programs also includeelective
courses.

popularity of business related courses also took a rapid jump. MBA is one of
the most popular as well as widely chosen courses amongst the other entire

Eligibility criteria
A student seeking admission for the Programme must be Graduate
from any statutory / recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for
SC/ST)
Since there are no institutes in India providing an MBA
programme combining innovation and entrepreneurship/entrepreneurship, there is
a huge opportunity for Symbiosis to fill this space. Moreover, the Diploma in
Innovation Corporate Entrepreneurship (DICE) which SIBM Pune has been
successfully running is a case in point to suggest that there would be takers

The course that has begun from this academic year will
attract a fee of Rs 4.9 lakh and has a
batch size of 40 students.The course is part of the initiative taken by the institute
to propagate entrepreneurship among students.
Other than the MBA course, and an incubation centre called
the SIBM Innovation and Venture Incubation Centre, it will also introduce
innovation as subject in other disciplines.

Step I: SNAP Test
Each student desirous of admission to SIBM,Pune must appear
for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, which is a common written test for
the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes.
For SNAP Test information log on to http://www.snaptest.org
and register. Get your SNAP-ID. This SNAP-ID should be entered while applying
to SIBM, Pune.
Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection
process at SIBM, Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify
an applicant for the next step in selection process at SIBM, Pune.
Step II: Selection Process at SIBM, Pune
Each student desirous of admission to SIBM Pune must apply SIBM, Pune separately, using the link
given at the website.
Short-listed Applicants based on SNAP scores will be called
for the selection process at SIBM, Pune. Short listed candidates are announced
via a web-link on SIBM Pune’s website as per the scheduled dates. Individual
regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not called for GE-PIWAT.
The entire selection process will be held at PUNE only.
This process includes Group Exercise, Personal Interview
& Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).
